Later, I went back and watched almost all the DNC speeches on YouTube and I've never felt so passionate about politics before in my life. I feel that this election is crucial to the future of our country. I watched a lot of the RNC speeches too, and I'm totally going with Obama! Being in that bar with that many other Americans made me feel very proud to be an American. I guess living abroad makes you appreciate your own country even more. I really enjoyed this night and got totally energized by Obama’s speech. Later, I went back and watched almost all the DNC speeches on YouTube and I’ve never felt so passionate about politics before in my life. I like him too. I thought the lyrics "Don't Want to be an American Idiot" where more telling for a lot of reasons - some of the surrounding the hype, some just being expats in a foreign country and people's impression of Americans, some for the girl shushing everyone, etc. Wish I would have had a chance to meet you both, but definitely let us know about this weekend.
